Roy Cropper is Coronation Street's mild-mannered cafe owner.
He's passionate about steam railways and bats.
When evil factory boss Tony Gordon decided to murder Roy, the poor sausage stabber ended up in the canal. Tony changed his mind and leapt in to save Roy just moments before he'd have drowed. He revived him, and then went to the police station to confess all.
Roy had been down at the canal looking for bats.
After being rivived from his near-death water trip, he saw what he'd longed to see, pipistrelle bats, which we're told, are a very unusual sight in November Britain!
Anyway, as soon as Roy got home, despite having almost drowned, all he could think of was recording the details of his bat sighting and phoning his bat loving friend to tell what he'd seen.
Now that is passion! When did you ever show passion like that eh?
Imagine loving something so much that nothing, not even a near-drowning experience, could dampen your enthusiasm?
So, there you go - Roy Cropper is TV's most passionate man.
